Wallets belonging to large Bitcoin holders saw an influx of 114,000 BTC.

Wallets belonging to large Bitcoin holders—those with balances between 100 and 1,000 BTC—have added 113,950 bitcoins to their holdings since July 15. Analysts at the platform Santiment estimate that these "Bitcoin whales" have increased their combined holdings to approximately 5.24 million coins. Experts classify this group of holders as "smart money" and note that their behavior warrants close monitoring. Santiment reports that a five-year analysis reveals a strong correlation between changes in these wallets' balances and the direction of the cryptocurrency market. Analysts observed that large holders often began accumulating the leading cryptocurrency immediately before or during periods of significant price surges. The current accumulation coincides with the upward trend in Bitcoin that began in the second half of August. Santiment believes this indicates that the rally is being driven not only by retail investors but also by holders with substantial capital. Analysts identified the sustained increase in balances among wallets holding 100–1,000 BTC as a valuable market signal. However, the platform's specialists noted that this metric is best evaluated alongside retail investor sentiment and data on fund flows across cryptocurrency exchanges. Previously, Santiment analysts stated that over the past three weeks—while Bitcoin remained above $80,000—market sentiment shifted noticeably: caution gave way to a fear of missing out on further gains.
